The cover fits the bike well and does what it is intended to do, cover the motor. However, the tapered screws cause it to crack if there is any amount of tension on them. When installing, apply some low strength lock tight and install them only until they just make contact with the case. Any pressure will cause the cover to crack. Let the Lock tight cure before riding.
The cover should be updated to accept a pan head screw instead of the tapered to help prevent cracking.
Love the ride.
I had removed the cover once to service the chain and sprockets and later when I did it the second time I was very surprised to see several cracks around the lower bolt hole. Of course it’s possible that I may have over tightened it but I was very careful not to do so. Before I purchased a replacement cover I cleaned the area around the hole and strengthened it on both sides with fiberglass cloth and epoxy. It is now stronger than the new one which I’ll keep as a backup. My suggestion is to change from whatever less expensive plastic you are now using and get one with substantial strength to take the stress around the bolt holes.
