Altitude Carbon 70

I purchase this bike following a demo ride and this will be a game changer for me. This bike brought me confidence by going down the trails smoothly and making me want to go faster. Climbing was also nice and easy and way easier than my trail bike 27.5.

The only thing that could make this bike better is an electic motor, so I will buy the Powerplay version.

I had a chance to demo the Altitude Carbon 70 at the WyIdaho Rendezvous over Labor Day weekend. Amazing bike! The Enduro category is definitely being blurred as this ride did everything I wanted and more! It climbed solidly and quickly. Descents were fast, predictable, and controlled. Firm frame and no BB flex so tons of power transfer. It stayed planted when I wanted and launched when it should! I'm not a racer (5'9" 215lbs) but I felt I could tackle anything on this bike. Well done RM! Thank you for making the effort to participate at the Rendezvous. Your Team was outstanding and out of all of the Vendors, we kept coming back for more RM experiences! Definitely being considered for next bike purchase.

Had a chance to demo the carbon 70 in Valemount BC and was really impressed. I'm 5'11" on a large. Supple with great support when pushing into corners or pumping, got off the ground really nicely, plenty stable, excellent cockpit geo for my proportions... definitely not a bike for blue runs though, bare in mind I usually ride a short travel trail bike but even though its pretty well rounded its still a race bike and definitely benefits from the right kind of terrain as it really only comes alive on faster, gnarlier track. I'm sure there's a better middle ground bike if you want more of a do it all solution. But for me, thinking about the altitude as a second bike for weekend road trips, it's sitting at the top of the list after that demo, I can't get how good the suspension felt out of my head.

I am writing this review after several week and around 10 good rides West of Calgary. I moved up to the XL from a previous L trail bike, I am 6ft1 and so happy with the size. It pedals up long climbs very nice and is so fast and stable one the descents, from fast and flowy to steep and technical. I beat my PRs from my previous bike with even trying!

I love the X2 shock and fork, I am 205lbs and setup was a breeze. I used the matte finish ridewrap and love how it turned out as in the photo.

The one flaw is the rear hub choice, 5 rides in and my free hub started to fail. I was immediately given a loaner wheel until they sorted out the hub defect. I feel for the price point something more burly should have been included as a rear hub.
