Receiving a Design and Innovation Award is a seal of approval in the bike industry. Awarded annually by a panel of international journalists, professional riders, and industry professionals, it’s given to products that are on the bleeding edge of technology in our sport. This year, the Altitude Powerplay Carbon 70 with its Dyname 4.0 drive system has made their list in the e-bike category!

As you might expect, the Altitude Powerplay takes inspiration from its non-motorized EWS winning counterpart, the Altitude. Sharing the same geometry and 160mm of travel, the Altitude Powerplay incorporates the powerful and intuitive Dyname 4.0 drive system along with various peripherals to electrify that proven platform. After a major update for 2022, the Altitude Powerplay includes a new 720Wh battery, an integrated top tube display, and a new suspension design featuring a mid-high pivot. Additionally, features like the RIDE-9 adjustment system and two-position rear axle allow every rider to dial in the bike to suit their riding needs. The combination of all those innovations results in a bike that the Design and Innovation Awards team praised for its “uncompromising riding performance,” and rated among the best e bike platforms available today.
