There are only a handful of riders in the world who get the call to drop in at Red Bull Rampage — the most iconic and mind-blowing freeride mountain bike event on the planet.
For Hayden Zablotny, this invitation marks a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to carve a personal line into the rugged sandstone cliffs of Utah. A dream came true for the young Canadian and with his win in his first participation it becomes even more unreal.
Getting Ready
Participating at Red Bull Rampage is every freeride mountain biker’s dream. It’s a pinnacle achievement to be one of the few competitors.
Preparation for Rampage goes way beyond riding. The days leading up to the event are a mix of nerves, excitement, and relentless focus. From early morning gear checks to visualizing every feature on the line, the countdown is on.
The Bike — custom painted built for big lines
Hayden’s bike choice is an alloy Altitude in size medium. This bike is stable enough to land massive hits and drops while still being playful. The bikes at Rampage are special in every aspect, and of course every bike gets a last personal touch from it’s rider – a custom paint job. Hayden chose to work together with Dylan Forbes Design. From one Rampage legend to the next generation
Wade Simmons, the first rider ever to win a Rampage, has the special delivery for Hayden. Beside that the godfather has some good advice for him.
Dig. Ride. Repeat.
Before a single trick happens, the real work begins — digging. Each rider and their dig crew spend days shaping their dream line into the steep desert face. It’s dusty and exhausting. Every shovel load brings the vision closer to reality.
Showtime
With all the dedication poured into preparing for the event, Hayden was ready to deliver the run of his life - and he did. On his second run, he scored 96 points and was crowned the new Rampage Champion 2025. The biggest dream and the greatest achievement of his life - there’s no turning back now!
We are proud of our shared passion and exited for our path ahead. Congratulations Champion!
