2015Pushing herself doesn't end on the race scene.
Before getting into bikes, Vaea was pretty much as athletic as it gets—skiing, snowboarding, gymnastics. When she got introduced to downhill mountain bikes at the age of 17, she immediately got hooked on the excitement, adrenaline and technique required. Stoked to progress and improve, she never looked back. In 2011, Vaea lined up for her first downhill world cup races and dedicated her career to downhill racing.
After years of successful downhill racing, she shifted her focus from downhill to Crankworx racing events in 2018. Riding and racing on different bikes in different mountain biking disciplines boosted her excitement for the sport even more.
Vaea completed her first Crankworx World tour in 2018, landing 3rd place overall. 2019 came full swing with event wins and the overall Queen of Crankworx title, followed by the overall win in 2020's Crankworx Summer Series.
For Vaea, pushing herself doesn't end on the race scene. Away from bikes, she is most passionate about nature, learning about healthy living and shifting to environment friendly practices. She makes sure that all facets of her life evolve around this desire to become a better version of herself and hopes that this process can inspire others to do the same.
