Lespy, as he is known, started racing bikes on the east coast of Canada at age 12. Since then, he has climbed the ranks and is currently living the dream racing for Maxxis Factory Racing. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and likes to geek out on tires and bike setup in his spare time. Having grown up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he loves the ocean and whenever he is close he is sure to jump in for a dip.
He has represented Canada at the World Championships 9 times in 3 different disciplines throughout his career. He is the currently XC Marathon National Champion. He is a 2-time BC Bike Race Champion and is looking forward to piloting THE BC Bike Race bike, The Element, in 2024.
His background is World Cup XCO but his calling is MTB Stage races and off-road endurance races. His first experience racing on the more adventurous side of things was the gruelling 8-day Crocodile Trophy Race in Australia. He fell in love with that style of racing and has recently made it his full-time thing. In 2024 he will be racing select MTB and gravel races that get him fired up alongside the LifeTime GrandPrix.
