UK mountain destroyer
I’ve had my bike for 12 months now and it’s been a lot of fun on both the climbs and descents. I’ve made some changes to the parts over the last few months, none were worn out but they came off my other bikes so didn’t cost anything to try them. Probably the best change I made was fitting shorter cranks, with the 170mm originals I kept getting pedal strikes as the area I ride is slate and jagged rock edges on most of the climbs. I wish there was an alternative to the Race Face cranks and the Cinch only Spider Clutch as I’d probably have gone shorter than the 165mm Atlas cranks they sell. Other than that the bike is a joy to ride, like the professional reviews say, you don’t really notice the weight of the bike when you’re flying up and down rock strewn passes in the Lake District UK. The pictures are my original bike and what it looks like now with the parts I fitted.
