The Instinct Powerplay SL is our lightest – and without a doubt most versatile – eMTB. It rides quick and playful, yet delivers the punch of a full‑power bike. A new firmware update for the Dyname S4 Lite motor pushes the Instinct PP SL to the next level: with 27% more power, extra torque, and even better performance on the trails.
With the new firmware update, the Instinct Powerplay SL’s motor jumps from 65 Nm / 550 W to a strong 75 Nm and up to 700 W peak power. That puts the Instinct SL firmly in its own category: as nimble and lively as a lightweight eMTB, yet as powerful and efficient as a full‑power machine.
At just under 20 kg, the Instinct Powerplay SL has already impressed in multiple tests with its playful handling and full‑power performance in a lighter package. The new update makes that unique character stand out even more: more punch on the climbs, more confidence in technical terrain, and a ride feel that’s hard to beat.
Of course, if you’re using every bit of the extra 10 Nm, you might notice a small drop in range. But no worries – thanks to the Jumbotron display, you can fine‑tune the support modes and still go the distance without compromise.
