What is Dyname 3.0?
The Dyname 3.0 drive system is designed in Canada by Rocky Mountain and Dyname. Utilizing a unique torque sensor directly on the drive, power modulation between the drive system and rider is delivered intuitively. Offering up to 108nm of torque when the rider needs it most.
What size battery does it come with?
Dyname 3.0 bikes come equipped with a 672 Wh battery and 1002 Wh when combined with the Overtimepack.
What is the battery range?
1500-2000m of climbing are possible with proper power management.
Does Dyname 3.0 require an app to operate?
The Powerplay Drive uses an optional Mobile App called Mahle My Smart Bike to access more features. Available for Andriod and IOS platforms.
Have any firmware updates been released for Dyname 3.0 bikes?
We have released one firmware update for Dyname 3.0 bikes that can be done at authorized Rocky Mountain Powerplay Dealers. It provides better power output at higher cadences and tapers the power output closer to the end of the battery’s charge, allowing the bike to keep going at full power until the reserves are fully drained.
Are any Dyname 4.0 parts compatible with Dyname 3.0?
Minus the Overtime Pack 2.0 which can be adapted to work with Dyname 3.0. The answer is no, Dyname 4.0 features a completely new motor and battery platform for improved performance and efficiency.
