The Fusion is the perfect blend of efficiency, capability, and reliability on the trail. The Fusion’s responsive handling characteristics and comfortable geometry will help you mix up your ride from the pathway, to the trail, and onto the singletrack.
The Fusion’s geometry has been optimized to provide you with the best possible experience when heading out for a ride. We’ve updated the geometry to reflect the needs of a true ”downcountry” rider, including 29” wheels, a low standover height, longer reach, and a slacker head tube angle. With features like 100 mm of front travel, internal cable routing, and a 1x drivetrain, the Fusion sits at the top as our best all-around hardtail.
Standover height is measured 200 mm in front of the bottom bracket.

These figures are a rough guide only. Rider proportions, riding style, and personal preferences all factor in choosing the correct bike size. Rocky Mountain always recommends test riding and professional bike fitting at an authorized dealer.
Disappointment, not meant to be used for Mountain Biking
This model year (RM doesn't change anything on it, but jacks up the price every year) Fusion 40 bike and it's components are not meant for any type of intermediate or serious riding. The SRAM SX groupset is a massive disappointment (very few of Rocky's other bikes have it). Expect to encounter endless shifting issues until it eventually breaks or you decide to upgrade. The WTB wheels are extremely fragile and have a glaring weakpoint at the weld seam. QR on dropouts (my mistake for not researching), so little room for wheel/front suspension upgrades. Save your money and go with the Fusion 10 if you really need this bike. All it will be good for is to get your groceries or ride on the sidewalk with the kids (enjoy replacing your tires). Seriously regret paying what I did for this bike.
