Purpose-built to hit the precise sweet spot between lightweight cross country climbing prowess and technical precision, the Element is the best of both worlds and more. New-levels of climbing efficiency guarantees that oh-so-sweet feeling of riding someone off your wheel. Added levels of stability on fast descents and a pseudo-aggressive seat tube angle provides surprising levels of confidence on tight single track and hairy descents. Light. Stiff. Fast. Smooth. Precise. You’re now in your Element—always.

Demo of an Element C70

I had the pleasure to test ride a Rocky Mountain Element as part of a demo. I really appreciate being able to test a bike on my local trails to really see how it compares to my other rides. I was surprised to find the Element to ride incredible. I did have some creaking as from the carbon frame seatpost but other wise the bike cleared some truly major rock trail section with no pedal strikes. Climbed pretty good with short cranks for a xl bike…..170mm and descended like a enduro bike…..fast and with but stable control. The forward geometry of the Rocky Mountain Element works awesome

An effortless ride

This bike preformed very well on climbs, the beginning of my demo ride was all up hill. Then it impressed me on technical level riding with minor ups and downs. The downhill sections were amazing, great stability and impact absorbing.

I rode local trails I ride all the time and this bike was a dream. I did notice more pedal striking than with my usual ride, but got used to what seemed like a lower clearance fairly quickly.

I felt that this bike balanced the ability to go uphill and downhill very well. I give it 4.5 starts out of 5!

Top of my list for new bike

The Element has come a long way from 2000. I had a element 2000, etsx 2004, current 5010. I think the Element will be my next bike once stock is available. Just a fun all round very capable bike.

RM element (M)

I did a demo on this bike at jensons so I’ve only ridden it once.

I loved it! Great all around bike and the RM staff was fantastic. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.

I’m actually going to buy this bike. I am however going to put a beefier tire in the front.

Amazing

This bike is amazing. I have definitely done new PR‘s both climbing and descending on this bike on my local trails. I am a former XC racer that wanted a more capable bike descending without the weight penalty climbing and this fits the bill. Biggest knock is that it descends so well you could easily beef up the brakes and tires to handle more crud….but might slow you down on the climbs. Not a bad decision either way. Plus room for two water bottle cages!
